Good Grief

Grief Support Groups and Counseling
Dearest First Trinitarians,

As Holy Week approaches, along with memories of the last week of Christ’s life, and his cross, it occurs to me that for many of us, the last year (or more) has been filled with experiences and memories of loss and/or pain.

With this in mind, I’d like to share with you this document.

If you click the link above, you’ll find a list of resources, many of them free of cost. Have you experienced pain or loss as of late? Does pain or loss haunt you? Do you still feel the pain of a loss? I encourage you to pray about and consider wether any of these resources might be helpful for you or your family. As the Gospel indicates again and again, healing is very important if we wish to fully live.

As we often say here at FT, though life brings experiences of pain, within and around us, we do not have to face our pain alone. Together we can lighten one another’s burdens. We can carry our burdens together. Together we can even deconstruct those things that cause us pain. Therapy and group work are both helpful in overcoming pain, lightening the load, and perhaps even becoming free from the pain of loss–as well as avoiding the isolation that often comes with it.

You do not have to be alone.

As you continue your Lenten discipline, add this to your prayers with me? :

“God, where and in what ways do I need to seek help?”

See you Sunday.

Peace, all.

Pr. Tom
